TUKATA X KOREAN GUGAK CENTER

TUKATA X KOREAN GUGAK CENTER

TUKATA has collaborated with the National Gugak Center to develop a character and badge inspired by the traditional Korean musical instrument 'Eo.' The 'Eo' character, developed jointly by TUKATA and the National Gugak Center, has been uniquely designed to familiarize and introduce our traditional musical instrument in a friendly manner. The 'Eo' is an essential instrument used in ceremonial music, taking the form of a tiger with 27 bamboo nodes resembling tiger stripes, played by scraping them with bamboo sticks. Through this collaboration between the National Gugak Center and lifestyle brand TUKATA, we hope to bring new inspiration and joy about Korean traditional music to customers. The National Gugak Center, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, is the leading national arts institution in Korea, dedicated to preserving traditional Korean arts. Engaging with the public through various performances, academic research, music education, and international exchanges, the center strives to promote Korean traditional music both domestically and globally.
